On Friday, February 24th, the undergraduate liaison committee, in conjunction with the undergraduate pre-law society, hosted a panel discussion for undergraduates to hear from current law students about the type of law they are specializing in. The panel consisted of six Notre Dame law students planning to enter into a variety of practice areas, including business law, international law, criminal law, intellectual property law, and public interest law.
The event was a huge success! Approximately 25 undergraduates showed up to listen to the law student panel talk over the lunch hour from 12:30pm-1:30pm. Some law school mentors even showed up to join their mentees for the meeting. Jake Baska, Director of Law School Admissions, and Ava Preacher, Pre-Law Society Faculty Advisor, showed up to the meeting as well. It was great to witness the enthusiasm from the law school and undergraduate communities.
